Prince Harry interviews Obama

Britain’s Prince Harry acknowledged he was nervous to interview former President Obama as a guest editor for BBC Radio 4, in an excerpt released on Sunday.

“You’re excited about this; I’m nervous about this,” the prince told Obama.

The interview, which is set to be released later this month, will delve into the men’s shared goal of promoting youth leadership, as well as the day the president left office and his post-presidential life, according to Kensington Palace.

{mosads}Kensington Palace released a video of Obama and the prince joking around before the discussion. 

“Do I have to speak faster because I’m a slow speaker?” Obama asked, adding, “Do I need a British accent?” 

“If you start using long pauses between the answers, you’re probably going to get ‘the face,’ ” Harry joked. 

The prince and the president have enjoyed a friendship since Obama was in office. 

Harry visited Chicago in October for the Obama Foundation’s inaugural summit, while the president met with the prince at Kensington Palace earlier this year.

The two also sat next to each other at a basketball game during the Invictus Games in Toronto last summer. The interview was reportedly recorded during that trip.

The president congratulated Harry on Twitter in November after he announced his engagement to American actress and humanitarian Meghan Markle.
