A woman was arrested on Saturday for her alleged involvement in a hit-and-run crash that killed New York federal judge Sandra Feuerstein and injured a 6-year-old child in Florida.

CNN reports that Nastasia Andranie Snape was arrested on Saturday. She faces charges of vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of a crash involving death and leaving the scene of a crash with injury.

According to an affidavit obtained by the news outlet, Feuerstein was walking south on the sidewalk when a red, two-door sedan that was being driven “erratically” drove onto the sidewalk and struck her. Feuerstein was taken to Delray Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

The vehicle was later found crashed with Snape behind the wheel unconscious.

In the affidavit an officer said they saw “Snape begin to convulse or have seizure like movements” and when she exited the car she would not respond to the officer’s attempts to speak with her.

Snape “was not making any eye contact or moving around as the typical person would be who had just been involved in a crash,” according to the affidavit and once she was inside an ambulance she “began to scream and fight with medics stating that she was Harry Potter.”

Snape’s bag contained several containers labeled “THC Cannabis” as well as a drug called ” ‘T’ salts” which are “commonly known to cause erratic excited delirium like behavior,” the affidavit said, according to CNN.

Feuerstein was nominated to the federal bench in 2003 by former President George W. Bush after having previously held various roles in the New York Supreme Court, CNN reports.

Acting U.S. attorney of the Eastern District of New York Mark Lesko said in a statement, “As we mourn her tragic death, we also remember Judge Feuerstein’s unwavering commitment to justice and service to the people of our district and our nation.”
