Fox Nation acquires streaming rights to ‘Duck Dynasty’

Fox Nation, the on-demand streaming service of Fox News, has acquired the exclusive streaming rights to “Duck Dynasty,” the network announced.

“Through the platform’s latest acquisition, FOX Nation subscribers will have access to the entire series run of A&E’s Duck Dynasty, which follows the life of the Robertson family, who came into the spotlight following the success of their family-owned business, Duck Commander,” reads the announcement.

The hit reality series aired on A&E from 2012 to 2017.

“Duck Dynasty” has generated hundreds of millions of dollars in retail sales and was often one of the top-rated programs on basic cable.

The show’s season four debut ranks as one of the most-watched nonfiction series telecasts in cable history, drawing 11.8 million viewers in 2013.

The show’s biggest star, Phil Robertson, has appeared on Fox News multiple times since the show’s debut, including during the coronavirus pandemic to talk about being quarantined in Louisiana’s bayou.

“I found Jesus in the mid-’70s,” Robertson told Fox News Digital. “I have been self-quarantined from the world ever since. This is the lesson I have learned since I made that decision. The world and its desires pass away but the man who does the will of God lives forever.”

Fox Nation, which launched in 2018, will begin streaming the series on June 1.
