CNN parts ways with pro-Trump contributors Bauer, Kingston

Pro-Trump contributors Andre Bauer and Jack Kingston are no longer contributors at CNN, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Kingston, a former GOP lawmaker from Georgia, and Bauer, a former lieutenant governor of South Carolina, did not have their contributor contracts renewed, the news site reported on Monday.
{mosads}”I am very thankful for the opportunity CNN gave me,” Bauer told The Hollywood Reporter in an email. “The silent majority in our country feel like they do not have a voice in politics or the media. I have tried to express many of their feelings and why they supported Donald Trump.”

Kingston did not immediately respond to a request for comment from The Hill.

Former Philadelphia mayor Michael Nutter (D) and legal analyst Page Pate also did not have their contracts renewed.

A CNN source told The Hill when asked for comment that the moves are all part of “the natural churn of contributors” and that the network typically does not publicize these kind of changes.

The cable news network has seen several of the president’s supporters come and go since Trump took office. Those contributors include Jeffrey Lord, former Trump transition team spokesman Jason Miller, Paris Dennard, radio talk show host Ed Martin and former Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski.

Kingston most recently appeared on CNN as a guest Saturday. He was introduced as a “former senior adviser to the Trump campaign.”
