Ex-Trump staffer out at CNN amid ‘false and defamatory accusations’

CNN political commentator Jason Miller, a former aide to President Trump, announced Saturday that he will be leaving the network amid his ongoing child custody dispute with A.J. Delgado.

A.J. Delgado, a former Trump campaign senior adviser whose affair with then-co-worker Miller produced a child, alleged in court documents obtained by Splinter that Miller had another affair with a woman he met in a strip club.

Court documents claimed once Miller learned the unknown woman was pregnant, he slipped her an abortion pill without her knowledge, which allegedly led to the termination of the pregnancy.

{mosads}With the addition of these allegations to court records, Delgado is reportedly asking the court to order Miller to undergo a psychological evaluation.

According to court filings obtained by Splinter, Delgado said she fears for the safety of her and her son.

Miller took to Twitter shortly after the report to announce his departure from CNN and to address allegations that he says are “false and defamatory.”

“I have decided to step away from my role as a Political Commentator at CNN to focus on clearing my name and fighting the false and defamatory accusations being made against me,” Miller said in a statement on Twitter.

“To be clear, none of this is in any way true,” Miller continued. “That doesn’t matter however in the current court of public opinion, where fraudulent statements and a lack of factual support rule the day as long as it fits into a tweet.”

“There is no validity to the false accusations made in the document Arlene ‘AJ’ Delgado filed herself, without an attorney,” Miller went on to state in several other tweets.

“This ‘story,’ replete with assumptions, misstatements and fraudulent statements was wrongfully published by the gossip blog Splinter despite the obviousness of its falsity and lack of factual support,” he continued.

“Splinter also failed to do anything to corroborate the accuracy of Ms. Delgado’s defamatory accusations, which have already been disproven by at least one reporter whom Ms. Delgado attempted to involve in her continuous attempts to smear me,” Miller wrote.

“The family court Judge involved in our case in Miami-Dade Circuit Court recently raised serious issues surrounding Ms. Delgado’s emotional and mental health. Any reporter wanting the facts about this can contact me directly,” he continued.

“I will clear my name in this matter and seek to hold Ms. Delgado, Splinter and anyone else involved in spreading these lies legally accountable,” Miller added.

The news comes less than a month after CNN announced it was suspending a pro-Trump commentator and former surrogate for President Trump‘s campaign, Paris Dennard, after it was revealed he was fired from Arizona State University (ASU) four years ago for alleged sexual misconduct.
