Trump congratulates Little League champions: ‘See you at the White House!’
President Trump on Sunday night congratulated the champions of the 2019 Little League World Series and invited the team from Louisiana to the White House.

The East Bank Little League team from suburban New Orleans beat Curacao 8-0 on Sunday to win the championship title.
Trump’s invitation came after House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-La.) called for his home state team to make a trip to Washington, D.C.{mosads}
“Congratulations to Louisiana’s River Ridge team on winning the @LittleLeague World Series!! So proud of this history-making team—our first-ever #LLWS champions. Way to represent [America] and Louisiana!” Scalise wrote. “Next up → How about a trip to the @WhiteHouse, @realDonaldTrump?”

The Hill has reached out to the team and the White House for comment about the potential visit.
They are the second American Little League team in a row to secure the title on behalf of the United States and the first from Louisiana to win the crown.
