Schumer ‘can’t wait’ for his grandson to meet cousin Amy Schumer’s baby
Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer says he “can’t wait” for his new grandson to meet the newborn baby of one of his famous relatives, Amy Schumer.
The New York Democrat tweeted to his more than 1.8 million followers on Monday:
I can’t wait for a play date between cousins—my grandson Noah and @AmySchumer’s expected baby boy.

The 37-year-old ”I Feel Pretty” star and the minority leader are cousins.
Amy Schumer announced her pregnancy in an October Instagram post and her delivery in another on Monday afternoon:
{mosads}Schumer, 68, became a grandfather for the first time in November, when his daughter and her husband welcomed little Noah Schumer-Shapiro.
The family members have teamed up for more than just potential playdates — in 2017, Amy Schumer defended the senator after he was criticized by President Trump. The comedian also made headlines last year after she was arrested during a demonstration at a Senate building against then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
