Singer Jimmy Buffett reportedly serenaded Sen.-elect Doug Jones (D-Ala.) and his wife, Louise Jones, in Key West, Fla., on Saturday as the couple celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.

The event, which was first reported by Politico, took place at Buffett’s Margaritaville restaurant less than a week after Jones scored a surprise victory over Republican candidate Roy Moore, who was plagued by sexual misconduct allegations.

Buffett sang “Stars Fell on Alabama” to the couple and gave them a special shoutout, according to the news outlet.

{mosads}”Dec. 12 has always been a historic day for the Jones family,” Jones said during his victory speech on Tuesday. “This is, as you know, mine and Louise’s 25th wedding anniversary. I couldn’t have done this without her. The love, the support, the encouragement.”

He becomes the first Democrat sent to the Senate from Alabama in a quarter-century.

Moore has yet to concede the race.

Jones said on Sunday that it was time for the Republican to move on.

“I say it’s time to move on. Alabama has spoken,” Jones told CNN’s Jake Tapper on “State of the Union.” “It was a close election, there is no question about that. But, you know, elections can be close sometimes. But now it’s time to heal.”
