Reality television star Jon Taffer on Wednesday slammed Bernie Sanders’s policies for lacking fiscal responsibility.

“This revolution could be the revolution of bankruptcy,” he said of the Democratic presidential candidate on Fox Business Network’s “Varney & Co.”

{mosads}“I mean, where’s foreign policy?” asked Taffer, host of Spike’s “Bar Rescue.” “Where are the resources to deal with the world? Where are the resources to apply to other elements and protect our country?”

Taffer then accused Sanders’ supporters of putting their own needs above America’s greater good.

“The desire to have student loans paid, and, candidly, the desire for free healthcare, is motivating these individuals to back a candidate,” he said of the independent Vermont lawmaker’s fans. “It’s narrow. It’s shortsighted. I believe most of those followers are looking at it in a very selfish way, candidly.”

Taffer additionally predicted that Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton will face GOP counterpart Donald Trump in November’s general election.

“I don’t see how that changes,” he said. “I don’t see how the establishment changes the flow of the tide, to tell you the truth.

“It puts Trump in a unique position because now his ‘art of the deal’ is to unify,” Taffer added of the billionaire’s status as the Republican standard-bearer.

“It’s difficult for him to unify when everybody else is being hostile to him. Really, Trump unifying the party might be Trump saving the party.”

Sanders, a self-described Democratic socialist, has repeatedly called for a “political revolution” transforming American politics.

Clinton won seven states to Sanders’s four during Super Tuesday’s voting contests, making the Congressman’s path towards the Democratic nomination more difficult.

Sanders trails the former first lady by nearly 10 points nationwide, according to the latest RealClearPolitics average of polls.
