Trump: I may swap my jet for Air Force One

Donald Trump said late Wednesday that he may trade his signature Boeing 757 for Air Force One should he become president in 2016.

“Well, look, there’s something very special about Air Force One,” he said aboard his own aircraft, according to ABC News.

{mosads}“Let’s face it, it represents something very, very special, like the White House represents something.”

“I’m not talking about perks here, because the last thing I need are perks. [But] I just hope that we can get in, do the job and make America great again.”

Trump’s private plane is a common sight on the 2016 campaign trail, as he often uses it to travel between public events.

The distinctive craft, which bears the real estate magnate’s name in bold letters on the side, is actually a smaller plane than Air Force One, ABC News said.

Trump last landed his Boeing outside a rally in Mesa, Ariz., Wednesday evening, according to Business Insider.

“So we had three venues,” he told supporters there. “The first one too small. The second one too small. The third one too small. We said, ‘does anybody have a plane hangar?’ ”

Business Insider reported last June that the billionaire has used his custom-made aircraft since 2011.

It boasts a silk-lined master bedroom, a 57-inch television with access to 1,000 movies and even 24-karat gold seatbelt buckles. The jet additionally seats 43 passengers, the news publication added, though some Boeing 757s house as many as 239 people.
