Rep. Karen Bass (D-Calif.) last week withdrew her support of a marijuana-related bill after getting pushback from her constituents.
The legislation, introduced by Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.), would create a commission charged with analyzing national and state marijuana laws.
{mosads}Bass signed on as a co-sponsor in November, initially interested in examining various marijuana policies in states across the nation. However, prolonged negative feedback from her constituents drove Bass to withdraw her co-sponsorship, her office said.
