Nikki Haley trolled over complaints about The Popcorn Factory
Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley faced ridicule online Monday after she tweeted a complaint about The Popcorn Factory missing delivery dates for her orders.
The former ambassador took to Twitter on Monday to express her displeasure with the company after “two messed up birthday orders missed delivery dates.”
“Ok @PopcornFactory two messed up birthday orders missed delivery dates with no explanation,” she tweeted. “First time I gave you the benefit of the doubt. Second one tells me not to buy from you again.”

A number of Twitter users teased Haley for her post, with some connecting the incident to the U.S. Postal Service’s (USPS) delays in delivering mail after the postmaster general made changes in policies, like reducing overtime.
Many of them also used the hashtag #DisappointedNephew.
Democratic candidate for the state in House in Virginia Qasim Rashid noted that The Popcorn Factory ships through USPS.
“Maybe stop Trump from defunding the USPS,” he posted. “Millions of businesses, Veterans, & tens of millions of rural Americans need the USPS to live.”

The company also sends its products through FedEx, according to its website.
Democrats have sought to investigate the delays in deliveries ahead of the presidential election where a record number of people are expected to vote by mail amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Actor Bruno Amato also tweeted in response to the ambassador’s post, saying “When the USPS is purposely slowed down to prevent people’s votes to be counted, no problem. But don’t mess with @NikkiHaley popcorn delivery.”

Actor Zach Braff chimed in with a tweet as well.

Anna Swartz, the deputy managing editor for Policygenius, conveyed her “thoughts & prayers” to Haley for the incident.
“Damn wow I knew dismantling the postal service would affect our elections but I never [thought] it would delay popcorn deliveries too … thoughts & prayers,” she posted.

The key question is whether Democrats can exploit USPS-related frustrations to recruit the crucial #DisappointedNephew and #AuntWhoWantsToSpeakWithTheManager demographics

The Popcorn Factory also addressed Haley’s tweet asking for a private message to “resolve this matter.”
Hi, Nikki!
Thank you for reaching out to us. I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. I will be glad to resolve this matter with you privately. Please send a private message on Facebook or Instagram with your order details, so I can further assist you.

Postmaster General Louis DeJoy last week announced an overhaul of USPS leadership, getting rid of the top two officials responsible for day-to-day operations as Democrats have demanded a probe into shipping delays.
Top Democrats in Congress had said DeJoy confirmed he made operational changes after he became postmaster general in June.
