Jerry Brown: Trump’s gone ‘AWOL’ with ‘misguided and insane’ Paris decision

California Gov. Jerry Brown (D) ripped President Trump’s decision to pull the U.S. out of the Paris climate accord Thursday, calling the president “misguided and insane.”

“Donald Trump has absolutely chosen the wrong course,” Brown said in a statement.

“California will resist this misguided and insane course of action. Trump is AWOL but California is on the field ready for battle.”

{mosads}The California governor joins a bipartisan group of politicians and influencers condemning Trump’s decision.

Former Vice President Joe Biden said the withdrawal “imperils national security,” while Republican Sen. Susan Collins (Maine) said she was “disappointed” in the decision.

Trump said the nearly 200-nation climate deal was “unfair at the highest level to the United States.”

“We are getting out, but we will start to negotiate and we will see if we can make a deal that is fair.”
