Trump hits Romney for ‘desperate’ press conference

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump hit former GOP nominee Mitt Romney on Wednesday for planning a “desperate” news conference in a series of posts on Twitter.

“Failed Presidential Candidate Mitt Romney is having a news conference tomorrow to criticize me,” Trump tweeted on Wednesday.

In a subsequent tweet, Trump criticized Romney for losing to Obama when he ran for election.

“Just another desperate move by the man who should have easily beaten Barrack Obama,” he wrote, misspelling the president’s name.

Romney announed earlier Wednesday he plans to deliver a speech on Thursday on the state of the 2016 election. He will address the Hinckley Institute of Politics at the University of Utah.

Romney has in the past hit on Trump for not yet releasing his tax returns, warning the candidate has a “bombshell” in his returns.
