Judge reschedules hearing for woman accused of car chase near Mar-a-Lago 

A woman who allegedly breached security at Mar-a-Lago, President Trump’s Florida estate, refused to appear in front of a judge on her assigned court date.

The Palm Beach post reported Saturday that Hannah Roemhild missed her scheduled bail hearing before Palm Beach County Circuit Judge Ted S. Booras. The hearing is now scheduled for Monday. 

Roemhild, a 30-year-old opera singer from Connecticut, is facing several criminal charges, including assaulting an officer and deadly assault on law enforcement.

Roemhild is one of two people who were arrested Friday after an SUV breached security checkpoints at the resort, prompting officials to shoot at the vehicle. It’s unclear if Trump was at the resort when the breach happened, but he was scheduled to arrive Friday evening and on Saturday he tweeted an image of him playing golf at Mar-a-Lago.

The incident is one of several that have taken place at the “Southern White House” in recent months. In December police arrested a Chinese national, Jing Lu, after she allegedly trespassed and took photos at the property.

Another Chinese national, Yuji Zhang, was detained in March 2019 and convicted in September 2019 of trespassing and lying to federal agents after she misled property staff about her identity and entered the club with a thumb drive containing malicious software.
