CBS

Outgoing “CBS Evening News” anchor Jeff Glor reportedly announced in a Wednesday staff meeting that his last broadcast on the program will be Friday.

The Daily Beast report on Glor’s exit comes less than 18 months after he was named lead anchor of the network’s flagship newscast.

{mosads}The program has struggled from a ratings perspective, however, regularly finishing in third place behind ABC’s “World News Tonight” with David Muir and “The NBC Nightly News” with Lester Holt.

CBS announced on Monday that former “CBS This Morning” co-anchor Norah O’Donnell will replace Glor.

It is not clear what his role with the network will be moving forward.

O’Donnell, who has served as co-anchor of “This Morning” since 2012, will also serve as managing editor and as a contributor to “60 Minutes.”

The network also said Monday that John Dickerson will be departing its morning show for “60 Minutes.” Dickerson will also have a role in 2020 election specials.
