Trump touts Rasmussen poll showing his approval rating at 46 percent

President Trump took to Twitter on Thursday to tout a poll from a conservative-leaning polling company showing a majority of Americans disapprove of his job as president.

“Together, we are MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump tweeted, alongside an image showing his 46 percent approval rating in the Rasmussen Daily Presidential Tracking Poll on Dec. 28.

Fifty-three percent of likely U.S. voters polled disapprove of Trump’s job performance as president, according to the survey.

{mosads}The Rasmussen poll also finds that 29 percent of polled likely U.S. voters say they “strongly approve” of Trump’s job performance as president, while 44 percent say they “strongly disapprove.”

Trump’s approval rating in the Rasmussen poll has risen six points from its recent low of 40 percent on Dec. 15, and his 46 percent approval is the highest approval mark he’s received in the daily tracking poll since November.

Trump often touts the conservative-leaning polling company’s surveys on Twitter, while slamming other polls as “fake” or wrong.
