WATCH: RSC Chairman says voters, donors ‘expect us to get something done’

The conservative Republican Study Committee chairman backs up fellow GOP lawmaker Chris Collins’s contention that his party must get tax reform done or risk alienating donors and voters.

“There is some talk out there that communities — our constituents — whether they provide contributions or not, they are expecting us to get something done,” Rep. Mark Walker (R-N.C.) said in an interview with The Hill.

Walker added,  “I think it’s not only a financial issue I think it’s an electability issue at some point.”

Earlier in the day, Collins (R-N.Y.) said that his donors are pushing him to get tax reform done.

“I don’t know that I disagree with the proponent or the idea, that if you can’t deliver then why should we, not only why should we contribute, but why should we reelect you?” Walker asked.
