House Dem: Putin should be ’embarrassed’

A House Democrat says Russia President Vladimir Putin should be “embarrassed.”

{mosads}Virginia Democratic Rep. Jim Moran tells The Hill that Putin “ought to act as a leader of the 21st century should act … where you need to be transparent, you need to be honest, you need to be forward thinking and he’s none of those things. He ought to be embarrassed.”

Moran was among a dozen U.S. citizens included on a list of individuals banned from visiting Russia — in response to the U.S. ban of certain Russians from entering the country earlier this year.

The Obama administration and lawmakers have blamed Russia for shooting down Malaysia Airlines Flight 17.
