Watch live: Floyd friend expected to testify at Chauvin trial

Former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin’s trial for the killing of George Floyd is slated to continue on Tuesday at 10:15 a.m. EDT.

A friend of Floyd’s who was in a car with him the day he died after an arrest outside a Minneapolis convenience store is scheduled to testify. 

Chauvin faces murder and manslaughter charges after he pinned Floyd to the street during the arrest, placing his knee to Floyd’s neck for nearly nine months as Floyd pleaded for him to stop.
