Watch live: Derek Chauvin trial begins

The trial of Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer who faces murder and manslaughter charges for the May killing of George Floyd, is scheduled to begin on Monday morning with opening statements.

The trial is slated to begin at 9 a.m. EDT.
