Civil rights leaders and activists are holding a march and rally against racism and police brutality in Washington, D.C., on Friday.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to the event that will also commemorate the 1963 March on Washington and Martin Luther King Jr.’s iconic “I Have a Dream” speech.
The event comes amid a summer of nationwide protests and civil unrest following the death of George Floyd, an unarmed Black man who killed by a Minneapolis police officer, and follows protests in Kenosha, Wis., earlier this week, after an officer shot another Black man, Jacob Blake, multiple times in the back.
