Rep: ‘Doc fix’ recommendations piling up

Rep. Michael Burgess (R-Texas) says doctors, patients and other players in the healthcare world are arguing for changes to the “doc fix” legislation approved by Congress last year.

{mosads}The fix permanently changed the way doctors are reimbursed under Medicare so that Congress did not have to provide additional money to fix the payment problem on an annual basis.

But Burgess said many people think the law needs more reforms.

“The comment period opened up last summer, I just had a stack of representative comments on my desk,” he said in an interview with The Hill’s Molly K. Hooper.
