First lady Michelle Obama has plans after her time in the White House is up, raising the possibility of her own presidential run and joking that she will devote her time to helping raise “Late Show” host David Letterman’s child.

Letterman, who will be retiring in May after hosting late night television for more than 30 years, asked the first lady if she, too, will retire when President Obama’s term is up.

“You won’t be retiring though. But do you ever glimpse down that far down the road?” Letterman asked the First Lady.

“What, like when I’m going to be running for president or anything?” inquired Obama. “That’s something to consider,” Letterman replied.

{mosads}”I would help you raise your children,” Obama joked. “I could help you through those dark times.”

Letterman said earlier in the program that his 11-year-old son can be temperamental and that the pair often engage in arguments.

“I could take you down that Grumpy Cat road, I can get you out on the other side,” she said.

Letterman said he appreciated the offer, although he joked it was “pathetic” to need outside help to raise his own child.
