WH backs Obama against poll numbers

With only a few hours remaining before addressing Americans in his State of the Union speech, President Obama is facing his lowest job-approval rating to date.

{mosads}According to Rasmussen Reports, only 41 percent of likely voters who responded approve of the president’s handling on jobs.

Rasmussen also reported more than half of voters polled think government would do more damage than good to income inequality by getting more involved.

Despite the low numbers, the White House pushed back, defending President Obama’s economic policies.
