Watch: Trump visits Kennedy Center for tour, board meeting
President Trump is scheduled to visit the Kennedy Center on Monday, for a tour and his first board meeting since appointing himself the institution’s chair.
The president in early February announced he was ending the terms of multiple members of the Kennedy Center board and announcing a new board, led by him. He later appointed Richard Grenell, his envoy for special missions and a staunch ally, as interim executive director of the center for performing arts.
Trump has since announced additional appointments to the board who match his political leanings, including Fox News’s Laura Ingraham and Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo.
Trump is slated to visit the Kennedy Center at 3 p.m. EDT, according to the White House.
