Watch live: Trump speech to close RNC Day 4
The Republican National Convention concludes Thursday, capped with a speech from former President Trump officially accepting his nomination as the party’s candidate for November’s election.
Trump reportedly made significant changes to his planned address soon after the attempt on his life Saturday. His son Eric Trump told CBS that the new speech is expected to replace some of the former president’s combative tone with a message of bringing the country together.
Republicans have generally maintained party unity throughout the convention, with longtime allies and onetime opponents rallying behind the uncontested leader of the GOP and his vice presidential running mate Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio).
