White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre delivered a press briefing Monday afternoon, joined by White House national security spokesperson John Kirby.
Earlier Monday, President Biden addressed congressional Democrats who have called on him to step aside as the candidate at the top of the party’s ticket this year following his performance during a debate with former President Trump last month.
Biden stated in a letter that he was “not blind” to “their good faith fears,” but wanted to express his confidence “clearly and unequivocally” that he remained the best competitor against Trump.
