Former President Trump is making a campaign stop in Las Vegas on Sunday, ahead of the Silver State’s upcoming GOP primary.

Nevada remains the only state where Trump has yet to make an endorsement in a competitive Senate primary. He is expected to attend a fundraiser during his time in the Silver State on Saturday.

The former president could also make a last-minute pick in the Senate race — handing one of the Republicans a critical boost as they look toward a possible uphill battle against Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-Nev.) in the fall. Republicans see the race for the party’s nomination coming down to two candidates: Retired Army Capt. Sam Brown, who has been leading in polls, and former Ambassador to Iceland Jeffrey Ross Gunter.

A recent poll from Fox News found Trump leading President Biden, his likely November opponent, by 5 points, 50 percent support to 45 percent, among registered voters in Nevada in a hypothetical match-up.

The polling index from The Hill/Decision Desk HQ shows the incumbent trailing Trump by just more than 3 percentage points — 45.6 to 49 percent respectively.

The former president is expected to give remarks at 3 p.m. EDT.
