President Biden is set to deliver remarks Monday on the 156th observance of Memorial Day from Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.

He will also participate in the annual wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Solder. The White House flag is flying half-staff in honor of the holiday.

Biden posted a graphic Monday on social media platform X, honoring the fallen for their sacrifice.

“Since America’s founding, our service members have laid down their lives for an idea unlike any other: the idea of the United States,” he wrote. “Today, as generations of heroes lie in eternal peace, we live by the light of liberty they kept burning. May God bless them, always.”

He is scheduled to give remarks at 11:15 a.m. EDT.
