Biden discusses infrastructure investments: Watch live

President Biden is slated to travel to Wilmington, Del., Monday afternoon to deliver remarks on a new $16.4 billion investment for rail projects along Amtrak’s Northeast Corridor.

The funding from the investment will go to 25 passenger rail projects and will come from bipartisan legislation signed into law last year that made investments in the nation’s infrastructure.

The rail projects from the legislation include rebuilding 100-year-old tunnels and bridges, upgrading tracks, power systems, signals and stations and advancing future projects that aim to improve travel times by increasing operating speeds and reducing delays.

The event is scheduled to begin at 1:15 p.m. EST.
