Senate votes on nomination of Jack Lew as ambassador to Israel: Watch live
The Senate is voting on President Biden’s nomination of Jack Lew as ambassador to Israel. Lew, a former Treasury Secretary, has drawn opposition from Republicans for his role in former President Obama’s 2015 nuclear agreement with Iran. Nevertheless, the Senate Foreign Relations Committee advanced his nomination to the full chamber despite all the GOP members of the panel except for Rand Paul (R-Ky.) voting against him.
