Watch live: GOP senators hold news briefing on border crisis
A group of GOP senators on Wednesday are scheduled to hold a press conference on the border crisis.
Republicans have ramped up their attacks on Democrats over the increasing number of migrant encounters at the border and the influx of migrants arriving in New York City seeking asylum.
U.S. officials encountered 232,972 people at the border last month, the highest number since December.
The event is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m. ET.
