Attorney General Merrick Garland is slated to appear before the House Judiciary Committee Wednesday morning as lawmakers gear up to touch on a number of matters House Republicans are probing as part of their impeachment inquiry of President Biden.
Garland’s appearance is his first before the panel since the GOP took control of the House in January.
The attorney general is likely to face numerous questions about the sprawling probe as well as other developments the GOP sees as part of the “weaponization” of the Justice Department.
The event is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. EDT.
