Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius will join a host of top administration officials in announcing sweeping new regulations requiring insurers to treat mental illness and addiction the same as physical illnesses, RegWatch reports.

The rules, following years of delay, are seen as a key component of President Obama’s bid to curb gun violence, according to The New York Times.

The action completes trans fats’ decades-long transition from miracle product to pariah, The Wall Street Journal reports.
