Cohen predicts Trump will be convicted ‘on all charges’ in hush money case

Michael Cohen, a former personal lawyer for former President Trump, said he thinks Trump will be convicted “on all charges” in his New York hush money case.

“I believe — based upon the information that I know, and based upon not just the documentary evidence, but the corroborating testimony from so many people — I believe that he will be found guilty on all charges,” Cohen said on CNN’s “Erin Burnett OutFront.”

Cohen also said he thinks that the case will go on for about a month, calling it “very simple.”

“I would say, at best, it would be a four-week case,” Cohen said.

The former president’s lawyers failed to delay the hush money trial Thursday, with a New York judge setting a jury selection start date of March 25.

“Instead of being in South Carolina and other states campaigning, I’m stuck here. It’s an election interference case. Nobody’s ever seen anything like it in this country. It’s a disgrace, it’s a disgraceful situation actually,” Trump said after a hearing.

“And we’ll just have to figure it out. I’ll be here during the day, and I’ll be campaigning during the night.”

When Burnett brought up the fact that Cohen will have to testify in the hush money case, Cohen said he was under subpoena to do so and called testifying not “fun.”

“They get personal; they get nasty,” Cohen said.

The New York hush money case is among the many legal troubles the former president is facing. He also faces two federal cases on efforts to overturn the 2020 election and his handling of classified documents, and another election subversion case in Georgia. However, the New York case is set to be Trump’s first-ever criminal trial.
