She’s even affectionately been dubbed the “Notorious RBG.”
At 82, Ginsburg is known as the court’s leading liberal. A 1993 Bill Clinton nominee, she was the second female justice and appointed after serving 13 years on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. But she’s revered for helping launch the Women’s Rights Project of the American Civil Liberties Union before becoming a judge.
“Justice Ginsburg is one of the most important and articulate legal thinkers and interpreters in the country,” said Alice Mayhew, Simon & Schuster’s president and editorial director. “She is also a witty and engaged writer and speaker, and I am personally delighted to have another opera lover on board.”
