Three people were killed on Sunday when a small plane crashed in West Virginia.
A single-engine Beechcraft C23 carrying Nick Fletcher, 38; Michael Taphouse, 36; and Wesley Farley, 39, crashed about 11 a.m. shortly after taking off from Fayette Airport in Fayetteville, the Federal Aviation Administration told The Associated Press.
The three victims were from the surrounding area of Chesapeake, Va.
“The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will release the tail number of the aircraft after investigators verify it at the accident site,” the FAA told The Hill in a statement.
“The FAA and National Transportation Safety Board will investigate. The NTSB will be in charge of the investigation and will provide additional updates,” it added.
