Obama’s Transportation chief given Super Bowl tickets by Hollywood studio exec

A Hollywood studio executive gave former President Barack Obama’s Transportation chief Super Bowl tickets while he was in office, according to newly released financial disclosure forms.

Anthony Foxx, who served as Department of Transportation secretary from 2013 to 2017, indicated on his termination report that billionaire Thomas Tull gave him tickets to the Super Bowl game in Santa Clara, Calif., in 2016.

Tull was chairman and CEO of Legendary Entertainment up until earlier this year.

{mosads}Foxx, the former mayor of Charlotte, N.C., is a well-known Carolina Panthers fan. The NFL team went to the Super Bowl in 2016, which was held at Santa Clara’s Levi’s Stadium, but they lost to the Denver Broncos.

The value of the tickets was pegged at $4,000. Members of the executive branch are required to disclose gifts and travel reimbursements valued over $375.
