Ex-TSA agent charged with murdering wife
A former Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agent has been charged with murdering his wife in Florida, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
The TSA worker, 49-year-old Herve Placide, is accused of stabbing his 52-year-old wife, Magalie, in Poinciana, Fla., according to the report.
Placide, who had been working at the Orlando International Airport, is being charged with premeditated murder and false imprisonment.
{mosads}Placide had been a TSA employee for 12 years, according to the report.
The agency has been accused by some lawmakers of insufficiently checking the background of its employees before.
TSA officials in Washington said Placide was fired after his arrest.
“TSA extends our condolences to the family for their tragic loss,” the TSA said in a statement. “The individual has been removed from federal service.”
