Airline gives NFL team’s fans priority boarding

A Seattle-based airline is offering passengers who are wearing the jerseys with the number of the city’s National Football League priority boarding on flights for the entire 2014 NFL season.

Alaska Airlines, which operates a hub at Seattle–Tacoma International Airport, tweeted this week that it would allow any passengers wearing Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson’s jersey to board its flights early to commemorate the team’s Super Bowl victory last season.

“#GoHawks! Wear your official @dangerusswilson jersey on flights departing #seattle & you’ll receive priority boarding,” the company wrote.

{mosads}The airline said it started the promotion this week because the Seahawks played their opening game of the 2014 season in Seattle on Thursday night. The team defeated the Green Bay Packers 36-16.

Wilson has previously filmed commercials for Alaska Airlines.
