NJ Transit shaking up leadership

The New Jersey Transit system is undergoing a shakeup among its leadership team, the Star-Ledger reports.

The agency’s executive director and its directors of rail and bus operations are all leaving, according to the report.

{mosads}The changes come after the agency came under fire for its handling of Super Bowl passengers, when customers complained about crowding and delays.

Former New Jersey Turnpike Authority Executive Director Ronnie Hakim is replacing outgoing NJ Transit chief Jim Weinstein, according to the report.

The paper said the transit agency declined to comment on the leadership changes this week.
