DOT official tapped to run NYC transportation department
Polly Trottenberg, Department of Transportation undersecretary, has been appointed New York City’s Transportation Commissioner, the New York Daily News reports.
{mosads}Trottenberg was appointed by New York Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) on Wednesday, the day he was sworn into office.
Trottenberg is a former aide to Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.).
