A panel that was created by lawmakers to issue recommendations about improving the U.S. freight transportation system is expected to deliver its findings on Tuesday.

The House Special Panel on 21st Century Freight Transportation, which was created earlier this year by the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, will hold a news conference on Tuesday to brief lawmakers on their suggestions for boosting freight transportation, according to officials with the committee.
