Snap unveils new Spectacles AR glasses
Snap Inc. announced the unveiling of their new Spectacles AR glasses on Thursday.
The company said on their website that the “Spectacles” use augmented reality, which means the wearer looks at digital objects in the real world using the glasses.
The new product is built with two RGB cameras, four microphones, a touchpad and buttons for control.
The product is integrated with Lens studios, which lets users to build and interact with their glasses. It also allows users to share to Sanpchat on what they see with the glasses.
According to CNBC, the Spectacles are equipped with 30 minutes of battery life.
This comes as Snap Inc. is joining tech giants such as Apple and Facebook as companies that are working on smart glasses.
