Tesla is looking into a possible explosion of one of its vehicles in China, the company said Monday.
A video circulating on social media in China shows what appears to be a parked Tesla vehicle bursting into flames in Shanghai, CNN reported Monday. The video appeared to show a Tesla Model S sedan, according to CNN.
Tesla told The Hill in a statement that it has sent a team to the site of the apparent explosion and that there were no injuries, but did not provide further details.

According to CNBC, the Chicago law firm Corboy & Demetrio said earlier this year that, within the last five years, there have been at least a dozen instances of Model S batteries exploding in parked vehicles or collisions. The law firm is involved in a lawsuit against the company involving the Model S.
