James O’Keefe operatives set up fake company to trick tech employees: report

Employees of undercover conservative activist James O’Keefe posed as staffers of a tech startup to lure in tech employees, Gizmodo reported Tuesday.

The report comes after O’Keefe’s Project Veritas organization published undercover videos of tech employees that O’Keefe claims proved anti-conservative bias at Twitter. 

{mosads}The sting included Project Veritas staffers contacting Mo Norai, a Silicon Valley contract worker, posing as a fake recruiting firm seeking to offer him a full-time job, according to Gizmodo.

Operatives of Project Veritas proceeded to meet with Norai regularly over the course of those months. Norai was being surreptitiously recorded, because he later surfaced in Project Veritas videos saying that Twitter employed few conservatives and discussing “shadow banning” — a practice in which Twitter prevents a user’s content from being seen without notifying them.

Twitter later denied in front of Congress that it shadow bans users when asked by Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) earlier this year.
