The ITC is the latest agency to target patent trolls. The White House announced several executive actions earlier this month to crack down on the firms and called on Congress to pass legislation. One of the White House’s legislative recommendations was to limit the ability of the ITC to exclude products from the market.
Federal Trade Commission Chairwoman Edith Ramirez said last week that her agency will study the effects of patent trolls on competition.
