FTC approves Facebook’s purchase of Instragram

{mosads}Instagram, which is available for iPhone and Android, launched in late 2010 and now has about 80 million users who have shared nearly 4 billion photos.

Facebook has said it plans to continue to operate Instagram as a stand-alone app.

Regulators in the United Kingdom approved the deal earlier this month.
