FBI investigating NJ shooting as domestic terrorism
The FBi is investigating the Jersey City, N.J., shooting as an act of domestic terrorism, officials said during a press conference Thursday.
New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal announced the angle of the investigation following Tuesday’s shoot-out at a kosher grocery store that left three civilians and one police officer dead.
“The evidence points towards acts of hate,” Grewal said. “I can confirm that we are investigating this matter as potential acts of domestic terror, fueled both by anti-Semitism and anti-law enforcement beliefs.”

The announcement came as they continue to try to identify the motives of the man and woman who charged at a JC Kosher Supermarket, which evolved into a four-hour gunfight. The suspects allegedly killed an officer at a cemetery before moving to the market.
Officials connected at least one of the suspects to the Black Hebrew Israelites, a group the Southern Poverty Law Center designates as a hate group. They announced Wednesday that they believed the attackers acted on anti-Semitic beliefs.
